Mongolian Sustainable Finance Association (a.k.a ToC)

The Mongolian Sustainable Finance Association (MSFA, a.k.a ToC) was founded by banks and the Mongolian Bankers Association in December 2017 as a member-serving NGO, building on the success of the Mongolian Sustainable Finance Initiative which started in 2013. Today, MSFA’s membership consists of all 11 commercial banks, six non-bank financial institutions, one insurance company, one asset management company, and one society-serving NGO operating in Mongolia. Its operations are also enriched by its relationship with the public sector, including ministries, regulatory bodies, and the central bank of Mongolia. We closely work with the following domestic partners such as Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Environment and Tourism, the Central Bank of Mongolia, Financial Regulatory Commission, Energy Regulatory Commission, international partners, such as IFC, FMO, EU, RMI, EBRD, ADB, UN organizations,  sector associations (Sustainable Banking Network, Green Bank Design Platform, bankers association of countries), and other International organizations including GCF, GGGI, GIZ, GERES, AVSF and Caritas. We aim to design integrated and transformative policies, business approaches, and multi-sector initiatives that create positive change in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Paris Agreement, as well as Mongolia’s Sustainable Development Vision, Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC), and Green Development Strategy. We aim to realize sustainable development through the following six main areas: Sustainable finance, Green finance, Sustainable Industry development, Policy & Research, Education & Networking, and International collaboration.
