In Mongolia, Thiess (operating as Thiess Mongolia LLC) has successfully managed Energy Resources LLC’s Ukhaa Khudag coal mine since 2008. In 2016, Thiess began the Oyu Tolgoi expansion project and will deliver Mongolia’s first underground decline project at the Rio Tinto-operated site.
